The lux of 21
“The lux of 21” is a pioneering project in terms of inclusion in the fashion industry.
MAGALIE selected 3 young girls with Down syndrome and intellectual disability through a casting. They invited them to develop a MAGALIE luxury accessory. The objective of the project was to prove the creative capacities of this collective beyond mechanical and/or manual works. Furthermore, it hoped that other brands and entrepreneurs saw the possibilities and committed with this purpose by developing next editions of the luxury of 21. During 3 months and over 10 sessions that lasted this project, Eva, María and Teresa learned from the best professionals a whole process of how to create, design and talk about their creations and inspiration.
The luxury of 21 wanted to prove that inclusion is necessary and that people with Down syndrome or intellectual disabilities have a lot to contribute to society in general and the fashion sector in particular.
The 3 handbags synthesize experience, pursuit of excellence and most importantly, they reflect perfectly the unique attributes that each one of our main characters have and stand out for.
It has been a pleasure for MAGALIE, the Andalusian firm of luxury accessories based on craftsmanship, exclusivity, duality and its Spanish origin, to lead this project together with this incredible team of experts.
